Meet Our Members
Judy
Judy works in strategy and business planning in the health care industry. She is married with two adult daughters and two dogs. Judy enjoys giving back to the community by serving on non-profit boards and through other volunteer leadership roles. She loves hiking in the woods and vacations every year with family and friends in the north woods of Ontario, Canada.
Laura
Laura is a married Mom to two daughters and Grandma to 3 grandsons. She is a life-long Girl Scout, and loves to hike, bike, scuba dive, cook, and sew. Laura is a world traveler.
Claire
Claire is married with two grown children and has been practicing tai chi since 2009. She loves reading, baking, and hanging out with her cat. She also volunteers at Winterthur Museum.
Julia
Julia is a reading interventionist and mother of two boys. She has lived in seven different countries and loves to hike, swim, bike, read, and garden with native plants. Julia also crews on the Kalmar Nyckel, Delaware’s tall ship.
Katie
Katie is married and is a proud mom to her pup, Ginny. She and her husband, Jeff, met through community theatre and remain active, including two decades of involvement with Delaware Shakespeare. They enjoy traveling to new and familiar destinations across the globe and continue their ongoing quest to visit all 50 states, as well as every Major League Baseball stadium.
Jamie
Jamie helps manage a few acres of meadow and trees at his UU church, working to create a sustainable and healthy habitat for wildlife using native plants and trees. He likes to hike and travel, sing in the church’s choir, and works out on most days, lap swimming several times a week. Jamie and his wife, Claire, have two grown children, and they also have a sweet old black cat named Watson.
Anita
Anita is a dog-lover and a native Delawarean. She loves hiking in the woods, is a handbell musician, and serves as treasurer for a local non-profit. Anita enjoys working part-time in a pet supply store and doing in-home pet sitting after a career in accounting and finance. She is also an admitted chocoholic.
Terrianne
Terrianne is a professor at the University of Delaware and a mom to two boys. At UD, she is dedicated to creating an inclusive and welcoming classroom for students of diverse backgrounds in environmental science, physical geography, and atmospheric science. Through real-world examples and active engagement in current environmental issues, she guides students in exploring the historical and current causes, philosophies, and ethics behind global environmental challenges, climate change, and justice. Her commitment to sustainable, community-focused living inspires her to develop a cohousing community built on shared values and collaboration.
